**Ballet tradition has long included pink tights, which were originally intended to create a seamless leg line for dancers with lighter skin tones. To ensure that all dancers have the same polished and professional appearance, we ask that students wear tights and shoes that closely match their natural skin tone. This allows every dancer’s lines to be highlighted beautifully and equitably on stage and in class.
